Zord Information: The Drago Zord flies at a maximum of Mach 3, and is
equipped with a high-pitched screech and razor-sharp wings that can cut
through the strongest steel. It formed the arms, legs, feet and main weapon
of the Dino Stegazord, and the wings of the Dino Rage Megazord.

Character's History:

Trent Fernandez is the adoptive son of Anton Mercer (aka Mesogog) when his real parents were killed in an archeological cave-in, hence the difference in surnames. He works at Hayley's Cyberspace as a waiter and in his spare time, he draws comic book art. His father used to be unsupportive of his artistic endevors, but after seeing a bit of his work, he eventually came around (he even provided a bit of funding for Trent when he worked on a collaboration comic with his comic book idol, Carson Brady).

He found the White Dino Gem by mere chance, when he stumbled into an invisi-portal that led to Mesogog's lab, and just before it was to bond with Mesogog. However, it was pure evil and Trent was soon under its spell. He attacked the other Dino Rangers frequently, but he had no control over when to stay morphed. Whilst under the spell of the Gem, he obtained the Drago Zord. He also was able to place a spell on the Stego Zord, which when combined with the Drago Zord, formed the Dino Stegazord. The White Dino Gem grew stronger every day, and Trent was slowly succumbing to its evil power.

It didn't take long until he started serving Mesogog. He and Zeltrax frequently clashed over who was second-in-command, which ended when Zeltrax messed up Mesogog's lab and framed Trent for it. It was when Trent called out for his father that Mesogog reverted back into human form and Dr. Anton Mercer saved him from being terminated by a laser beam. At the request of his father, who swore to find a solution to rid himself of being Mesogog (he wasn't Mesogog by choice), Trent joined the other Dino Thunder Rangers in the fight for the greater good. However, it wasn't easy, what with having to gain the trust of his comrades, to having to contend with a White Ranger clone created by Zeltrax. He succeeded in both endeavors, and the Dino Thunder team was stronger than ever.

When his loyalty was put to the test once again after the big secret of Dr. Mercer and Mesogog was revealed, he proved to be a trustworthy comrade when he saved Conner from imminent doom (see "A Test of Trust"). It was when doing a recon job for the Rangers that Trent discovered that both Mesogog and Mercer had separated into two separate beings. He had also witnessed Elsa being drained of her energy to power a beam that could turn humans into mutant dinosaurs. He realized that the only way to save his father was to strike a deal with Mesogog: The Gems for Mercer. When he told the other Rangers of his plan, all but one was skeptical. That one was Kira, who believed in him from the day she discovered Trent was the White Ranger. Trent then told the others of his strategy: hand the Dino Gems over to Mesogog, and afterwards, open an invisi-portal so that he can let the other Rangers through to destroy the lab. The plan worked...to an extent.

Trent was slowed down by a cerebral beam from Mesogog when he broke the deal and took the Gems anyway. However, Trent had succeeded in opening a portal for the other Rangers to proceed with the plan. With Hayley's help, the Dino Rangers had succeeded in destroying Mesogog's lab once and for all. Trent, however, stayed behind to rescue his father. He had done so, and escaped just before the lab went under.

It wasn't over quite yet, though, as they still had a rogue Zeltrax to deal with. Each Ranger had a separate job to do; Trent's was to put each and every single Triptoid out of commission. After all the Zords had been sacrificed, the other Rangers were shocked to learn that Mesogog had survived the attack on his lab, and was now out for revenge. He had absorbed enough Dino Gem energy to finish a grotesque transmutation into the Mesomonster, a being even more powerful than Mesogog was. The Rangers fought valiantly, but they soon found out that their power still wasn't enough to beat it. Not even Conner's Battlizer could put in so much as a dent. Things had gotten worse when the Mesomonster replicated itself, so in a last-ditch effort, the Dino Rangers united all their Dino Gem Power to destroy Mesogog once and for all.

For a time, all was peaceful, and Trent returned to being a normal student, this time at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. He keeps in regular contact with the other Rangers, especially Kira and Conner. In his spare time, he maintains a webcomic on the Internet that is quite popular with young kids. It chronicles the story of a hero who was once evil, but undergoes a lot of trials and tribulations to become good. Hmm...sounds familiar, don't you think? He, however, indeed does miss the days when he was a Power Ranger, even when evil, and soon longs for the chance to don the suit and save the world once again.
